The Movers page lists the prediction markets whose odds changed the most, up and down, over the last day or the last week. Each move is shown in percentage points, with the money that traded.

The Predictions movers page: a Today or This week switch and two lists, Rising and Falling, of the markets whose odds moved most, with how far each moved and the money behind it

Rising markets on the left and falling markets on the right. Their columns slide sideways when the box is narrow.

  2. 2Rising
  3. 3Falling
  4. 4How far it moved, in points
  • Today and This week switch the period. The page opens on today, the last 24 hours.
  • The topic chips, headed All topics, narrow the page to one topic.
  • Rising lists the markets whose odds went up most. Falling lists those that went down most. Each list shows the top 25.
  • Market names the question, with its topic and venue under it. Leading shows the answer that is ahead now and its chance.
  • Day (or Week) names the answer whose chance moved most and by how many points, with an up or down arrow. Rest the pointer on the number to read it in words, for example "up 12 percentage points in a day".
  • The money column, Today or 7 days, is the dollars traded in that period, and Decided is when the market closes or the game starts.

Select a column heading to sort a list by it. Select a question to open its page.

A move is how far a chance changed, in percentage points, not in percent. A chance that went from 20% to 32% moved 12 points.

#What is left out

Markets that close within a day are left out, because their odds drift toward 0 or 100 as the moment passes and that is not news. Thin markets, with little money traded, are left out too. The same rule applies to the overview's box.

#Common questions

Why is a market I know moved a lot not here?

It may close within a day, have too little money on it or have moved by less than the lists show. Open its page to see its chart.

Are these predictions of what will happen next?

No. They show what has already changed. Past moves do not tell you where a price goes next, and nothing here is advice.
